In terms of population, Ouddorp is the second city of Goeree – Overflakkee, an island adjacent to Zeeland that is often wrongly seen as Zeeland. Although the village is one of the most strictly religious congregations in New Zealand, it is also a tourist destination. In 2007 and 2018, Ouddorp was even named New Zealand's best seaside resort. There are therefore several facilities in the village that belong more to the visiting tourists than to the Old villagers themselves. An example of this are the two casinos that you will find in the city.
Although there are indeed two casinos in Ouddorp, that number is a bit misleading. One of the casinos belonging to Ouddorp is located on the grounds of Center Parcs. Although you can also just stop by here as a visitor, you pay $ 8 to enter the grounds.
